The golden ratio. Already in the time of the ancient Greeks, this ideal mathematical relationship was known, which gives a sense of total balance and absolute beauty. Even today it is used to achieve harmony and perfection in both architecture and art.

Since the golden ratio is based on a ratio between width and height, the lines also cross at different heights depending on the size of the door. This means that the horizontal lines line up as long as you place two hatches of the same height in a row. But with two different formats next to each other, the pattern instead takes on a more dynamic character, without a continuous line.
